LEADERS & LEGENDS CLINICS

The NRCHA Million Dollar rider, Todd Crawford, is hosting a series of clinics for non-pro riders in 2010 called “Leaders & Legends.” Joining Crawford at each venue will be guest trainers that include Don Murphy, Robbie Boyce and Ron Ralls.

Participants will get the chance to work with Crawford and the guest trainers on all three disciplines in the working cow horse arena – cutting, reining and fence work/boxing.

Prior to each weekend clinic, on Thursday and Friday, Crawford is hosting a two-day trainer's clinic. The purpose for these sessions is to provide up-and-coming trainers an opportunity to work with Crawford and the guest trainers to receive help in improving their skill set. These clinics are geared toward riders at the Limited or Intermediate Open level, who want to become more competitive and have help with their horses.

Crawford’s main goal with the non-pro clinic is to help people who are already showing to improve their skills. He would also like to get people out of their backyards to try something new and possibly take an interest in showing.

The January clinic will be held at Hardy Murphy Coliseum. It will feature Don Murphy, an NRCHA Hall of Fame member who is known as the “trainer’s trainer.” The March clinic will be held at the Circle T Arena in Hamilton, with Robbie Boyce, a career earner of $760,784 in NRCHA and NRHA competition, assisting Crawford. The May event will be at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene with Ron Ralls, a two-time NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman and the earner of $708,151, as the featured guest.
